The Crown Estate

A healthy wildlife rich natural world across a diverse estate. Connecting communities, customers and employees with nature.

We want to see people close to nature, with land and seas rich in wildlife. The Crown Estate is one of the UK’s largest rural landowners, urban real estate business and owner of the seabed around England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This diversity is reflected in our partnership. Nationally, we’ve worked to understand and prioritise wildlife opportunities across the rural estate and we’re working to enable people to work rest and play in wildlife rich spaces across the urban portfolio.

  • At Windsor Great Park the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxon Wildlife Trust is working with The Crown Estate to provide an environmental education centre for visitors to the park.
  • The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire Wildlife Trust manages the Nene Valley Nature Reserve which is integrated into the experience of visitors to Rushden Lakes.
  • At retail and leisure destinations throughout the U.K., local Wildlife Trusts have been working to integrate nature into customers’ experience.
