What we do

For more than a century we have been saving wildlife and wild places, and bringing people closer to nature.

Wherever you are, Wildlife Trust people, places and projects are never far away, improving life for wildlife and people together.

We care for special places for nature and work in communities to inspire people with wildlife on their doorstep.

We look after special places for nature

There are 46 Wildlife Trusts across the UK, Alderney and the Isle of Man, firmly rooted in their local communities and supported by more than 944,000 members. We look after more than 2,600 nature reserves and run more than 120 visitor and education centres.

We work with people and communities of all kind

Each Wildlife Trust works in partnership with landowners, farmers, fishers, businesses, schools, local authorities and others to deliver real change on the ground.

Working together as a movement

The central charity (the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts) supports all Wildlife Trusts to deliver their work, and brings the movement together to campaign and advocate for change.
