Closing date:
Salary: £26,300 per annum
Contract type: Fixed term / Working hours: Full time
Location:
Tees Valley Wildlife Trusts, Margrove Heritage Centre, Margrove Park, Boosbeck, Saltburn-by-the-Sea TS12 3BZ
We’re seeking a dedicated Ranger to help safeguard and enhance the Trust’s natural assets across the Tees Valley. This hands-on role will lead practical conservation work across our network of nature reserves and land holdings, while also supporting project-funded initiatives beyond our sites.
A key focus will be expanding our volunteer capacity—developing a new volunteer recruitment framework and setting a high standard for volunteer experience and engagement in conservation. The Ranger will coordinate weekly volunteer workdays and work closely with other colleagues as a member of the conservation team. Under the lead of the Conservation Manager to deliver an annual programme of habitat management tasks and conservation projects.
This role involves building strong relationships with local authorities, conservation groups, and partner organisations to identify opportunities for joint working and resource-sharing. While primarily focused on our woodland sites—including Hardwick Dene, Lazenby Bank, and Saltburn Gill—the Ranger will also support the wider conservation team across the estate as needed.
