Your voice matters: Join local lobbies

13 – 20 September 2025

From 13-20 September 2025 you can be part of Lobby Week! Speak up for people, for climate, and for nature by getting involved and talking to your MPs and decision-makers.

On this page we talk through what a lobby is and how you can organise one. If you already know how to organise a meeting with your MP and you're ready to get going, choose from the below options.

I’m interested in my local lobbies

I’m interested in the Wales parliamentary event

I’m interested in the Scotland parliamentary event

Act Now, Change Forever

On Wednesday 9 July, thousands of us came together in Westminster for the biggest climate and nature lobby this decade.

‘Act Now, Change Forever' Mass Lobby filled the streets around the UK Parliament with colour, courage and care.

Politicians saw that people across the UK care deeply about climate and nature - and we’re not going anywhere.

Four people took in front of Westminster, smiling broadly at the camera. They are holding a sign that says Act Now Change Forever. Behind them can be seen a crowd of people at the Mass Lobby

Get involved in a local lobby

We must continue to demonstrate public support for bold, practical local and national action - for people, for climate, and for nature.

Get involved

A lobby is a way to meet your elected representative

At the Mass Lobby, we helped people to meet their UK representative in-person at their place of work; the House of Commons.

Next, we’re taking the Lobby to the Scottish and Welsh governments. And we are also helping decision-makers to meet the people they were elected to represent in-person, in their community.

To help make this happen, there are free resources and training, and sharing advice and ideas with people to help everything go well.

Whether you came to Westminster or not, your voice matters and should be heard. Plus, building relationships with decision-makers does help influence change.

What could your local lobby look like?

  • over coffee in a local café
  • on a walk through a nearby park
  • at a community garden, or on a litter pick
  • in an MP’s office or local library
  • at a community meal or food hub, or a community farm
  • at a local music gig, exhibition, or cultural event
  • ...anything in between!

Four steps to organising a local lobby

  1. Decide where you want your lobby to be

  2. Take part in free training if you want advice and support

  3. Invite your MP

  4. Hold your event

You won’t be alone!

The Climate Coalition as a collective has over 130 member organisations, including Wildlife Trusts! Like us, lots are based within communities or will have volunteer groups and leaders in your neighbourhood.

Parliamentary lobbies in Scotland and Wales

The same week as local lobbies in England, our friends at Stop Climate Chaos Scotland and Climate Cymru, in Wales, are arranging mass lobbies in Parliament.
