Let's start the conversation - with a postcard!
You know that nature’s important
And we can make it easier to talk about the important things
Everyone loves to get a postcard, but no-one loves trekking to the post office
So we’ve made it easy for you to send yourself a little boost that will arrive in the post in a few days’ time.
All you need to do is choose your favourite image and pop a message down about what nature means to you, right now. We'll send the postcard - to you!
Take a moment to reflect.
Nature's everywhere. It’s not only all around us - we are nature! The dappled sunlight on the bedroom wall; the pot of herbs on the kitchen windowsill; the trees you passed on school run; the smell of the air after rain.
Notice it and note it down, and we’ll send you a real, actual, physical postcard through your letterbox – bringing a smile, and a reminder of the importance of nature.
And you can share this love with a friend!
You see something funny, or moving, or important and your first instinct is to send it to a friend, isn't it?
And they give you a thumbs-up or a heart and get on with their day.
But what if your message is something vital, something urgent, something that really means something to you? To them? To everyone?
Don’t send a thumbs-up. Send a postcard to your friend.
Nature connects us all, but our feelings about nature are unique to each one of us. Let’s start sharing our love for nature and the places where we live. Let’s compare our personal connections and join together to share that passion even wider.
We’ll do the hard work. Just choose an image, and add your own thoughts about nature. Tell us where to send the postcard, and in a few days’ time, your friend will receive a real, actual slice of love and connection through their letterbox.

Frequently asked questions about the postcard campaign and how it works.
What are the postcards about?
The Wildlife Trusts want to make sure nature is seen to be necessary for everyone. We’re starting with you! These cards are designed to help everyone remember why nature is so important to them. We will post it to your house a few days after you write your message.
Next, you’ll be invited to send a card to someone you know. Then later, you can invite others to join you in playing a part in caring for nature in your neighbourhood too. You can opt out of this journey at any time.
Have you received a postcard? Here's why
Your friend sent this card to you. They wanted to share their love of nature with you and encourage you to look at nature differently or do something more to help nature with them or in your own area.
What will you do with my details? We will keep a record of where postcards are sent, but we won’t use your details to get in touch with you, or sell them. Please see our privacy policy here. If you would like to learn more about our work and find your local Trust, go here.
Have you received a card inviting you to get involved in something locally?
The person who sent your card is planning to do more for nature in your neighbourhood or community and would love you to be involved too. They paid for the card to be sent to them and it was hand delivered. The Wildlife Trusts can trace cards that were paid for, but we do not have any records of where those cards are sent – you will not be contacted by us. If you have any concerns or questions please contact the team: campaigning@wildlifetrusts.org

If you are not sure about the address you want your card posted to, use an online search engine or contact the person to make sure it’s correct. The Wildlife Trusts can accept no liability for postcards that do not reach the intended recipient.
When you opt in to hear more about this campaign you will be sent two further emails inviting you to take the next step. You will also receive our monthly Wilder Future e-newsletter – you can opt out at any time.
