About the event

Archaeologist, historian and geographer David Robertson explores the interaction of the environment and people over a thousand years that has created the Cley and Salthouse Marshes we know and love today.  David's illustrated talk will tell the story of the reserve’s landscape using historic maps, aerial and LiDAR images, and surviving historic features. 
David has over 30 years’ experience in commercial and curatorial archaeology and heritage, working locally and nationally with organisations including Norfolk County Council and the Forestry Commission. His work has included major projects such as the Norfolk Monuments Management Project and the scientific dating of the Holme II timber circle.
