When you may wish to see a solicitor in person

Some people prefer to make their will face to face with a solicitor – and in some circumstances, this is the best approach. For example:

  • if your estate is above the inheritance tax threshold
  • if you own assets overseas or have a complex estate (such as trusts)
  • if you are taking medication, or live with a dementia-related condition
  • or if you simply feel more comfortable speaking in person

If this applies to you, you can find a local solicitor through the Law Society website.

Please make sure your solicitor uses our correct details:
Charity name: The Wildlife Trusts
Charity number: 207238
Registered address: The Wildlife Trusts, The Kiln, Waterside, Mather Road, Newark, Nottingham NG24 1WT

Your privacy

When a will is made online through the Make a Will Online dedicated link, we receive some details – such as when the will was written, the type of gift pledged, your name, year of birth, email and address. With your permission, this helps us to say thank you and keep in touch.  We also understand that some supporters prefer to keep their gift completely private. If this is your choice, you can make a will using this make a will online link and your details will remain confidential. However you choose to support us, we are deeply grateful. Every gift makes a real difference to wildlife, today and in the future.
