The UK has committed to protecting 30% of land for nature by 2030. We want to create bigger, better, and more connected wild areas for nature’s recovery, to allow natural processes to help restore nature’s abundance, resilience, and diversity.

The Landscape Recovery scheme is one of the Government’s Environmental Land Management schemes (ELMS). It funds the development of landscape scale projects in England, to produce beneficial environmental and climate outcomes through habitat and ecosystem restoration.

The Alun and Chwiler Living Landscape has been operating since 2012 and seeks to better connect wildlife habitats and engage with local communities.
