The Renters' Retreat

The Renters' Retreat is The Wildlife Trusts' first sponsored garden at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, and is part of the 2023 exhibition. The design from garden designer Zoe Claymore is inspired by her own experience, feeling limited by renting a property and facing a lack of advice out there for people like her to make the most of the space she had available. The garden showcases a whole host of ideas on how to garden sustainably, without digging into the soil or attaching items to the wall and could be fully transportable should a tenant move. Whilst it creates a lovely space for humans, equally important was how a rented garden coul attract and support a whole host of wildlife.
