A Day in May

Together, let's celebrate the importance of nature to creativity - take part in A Day in May.

What is A Day in May?

'A Day in May’ invites professional and amateur artists to spend a day in a landscape they care about and produce a piece of artwork. A selection of the artwork will then be shown at the John Martin Gallery in Suffolk.

How to get involved

  1. Purchase your canvas board from our partners Auto Amor by 30th April
  2. Receive your primed board (30 cm x 24 cm)
  3. Spend your chosen day in nature in May
  4. Create your artwork
  5. Submit your work by 8th June for selection (blind-judged by guest curators)

Sales from tickets and artwork will raise funds for The Wildlife Trusts. Your artwork will make a difference.

Spend one day in May in a landscape that matters to you. Record it. Share it.

A panel of judges will select up to 100 paintings to be shown at an exhibition in the John Martin Gallery in Suffolk throughout the month of July.

Together, these individual responses will build a powerful collective message about the importance of nature to the UK’s creative soul.

Would you like to get involved? There's no time to lose! Order your canvas board by 30th April to take part.
