We want to show how much nature matters to all our lives, so we’re showcasing hundreds of stories from all walks of life to show how nature is helping us all, everyday. Tell us why wildlife and wild places matter to you, read the stories, or share your wild life with us using #MyWildLife
This week we are looking at Tees Valley Wildlife Trust's - Saltburn Gill.
This amazing reserve will take your breath away. Primitive woodland carpets both sides of the steep valley which has been carved by the River Gills fast moving waters towards the coast.
You can explore here all day and will find many species of birds, interesting plantlife such as ferns and fungi and a pleasantly humid atmosphere!
The Wildlife Trusts have been shortlisted to become Dobbies charity of the year for their 150th anniversary.
If we win, we will receive £50,000 from Dobbies 150th fundraising activities. This amount will allow The Wildlife Trusts to work with schools close to the 35 Dobbies stores helping them to re-wild their grounds, creating habitat for wildlife but also places where children can explore and play and get up close to flowers and frogs, bees and butterflies.
Help us make this possible and cast your vote for The Wildlife Trusts!
