National Marine Week: Incredible journeys

25th July - 9th August 2026

From wandering whales, to sea-spanning sharks, soaring seabirds and migrating molluscs - our precious seas are full of incredible journeys. This year we're celebrating some of the most special journeys during National Marine Week. 

As tide times vary around our coasts, National Marine Week is 15 days long to make sure everyone can take advantage of the best tides and experience marine life at Wildlife Trust events.


What are incredible journeys? 

Nature is full of amazing journeys. There are molluscs battling across rockpools, Arctic terns soaring from pole to pole and eels and salmon travelling from rivers to the open ocean. Let's dive in together and learn about some of these adventures...
