Our dive team is surveying areas of the seabed to better understand the UK’s marine environment and help protect it for the future. They are photographing the sands and gravels, the rock types and forms, the seaweeds and animals attached to the rocks, crabs and other creatures that crawl over the seabed and the fish that swim above, round and through them. Our special place of the week is London Wildlife Trust's Sydenham Hill Wood and Cox's Walk.
Part of the largest remaining tract of the old Great North Wood, which once grew from Deptford to Selhurst and covered 830 acres.
Wherever you are there's a Wildlife Trust near you, caring for your wildlife and wild places.
Being closer to nature enhances our lives. Projects initiated by The Wildlife Trusts and by charities like Mind are making the link between nature and our mental and physical health increasingly clear.
