Vaccinating badgers

Sychnant Pass, North Wales

A site near Conway proposed to the Society as a breeding place for scarce insects. An area of heath, acid grassland and bracken, Sychnant Pass falls within Snowdonia National Park and is home to the rare Ashworth’s rustic and weaver’s wave moths. Marshy areas, ponds and streams also attract black darter and migrant hawker dragonflies, and great crested newts. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and is managed by the Park Authority.
