Vaccinating badgers

Stanner Rocks, Radnorshire

A site proposed to the Society as an area containing several rare species of plant. Although Stanner Rocks was known to Victorian naturalists as a place of great interest, it was not until the 1970s that local botanist, Ray Woods, discovered the Radnor lily thriving at the reserve – the only known location for this rare flower in the UK. Today, Stanner Rocks is a National Nature Reserve (NNR) managed by the Countryside Council for Wales.
