Closing date: Friday 19th July 2013
Location: Hertfordshire and Middlesex
Would you like to earn some extra income from doing something that you really believe in? Do you have around 16 hours a week to spare? Would you appreciate a degree of flexibility and control over your working times? Do you enjoy walking, and meeting people who share your interest in conservation? Would you like to help Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust find new supporters in your area and beyond?
Home based, you will be following the simple “soft approach” formula, which has been used successfully by many of the UK Wildlife Trusts since 1985 to promote awareness of Wildlife Trust activities, and most importantly, to find many thousands of new members.
You will have good, all round communication skills, be socially confident in a wide variety of situations, and be good at organising your time and motivating yourself. You will need to be able to walk easily 1-2 miles each working session. You will have a genuine interest in wildlife conservation, but expert knowledge is not required. It’s quite likely that you already support, or have strong sympathy for at least one of the well-known UK conservation charities.
Although this work does not involve any selling or persuasion, some sales, marketing, promotion, face to face public engagement experience or similar, is desirable. However, full training in the “soft approach” method is provided.
We particularly welcome Mature and / or Graduate applicants.
Please see our website for further details and to download the application form.
