Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust is a local charity supported by people who care about protecting wildlife.
We manage over 40 nature reserves across Herts and Middlesex, and are looking for a Reserves Officer to help us look after these special places.
Joining part of a small, close-knit team, the Reserves Officer will organise and carry out practical management, lead volunteer tasks, monitor and survey habitats and species, and raise the profile of the Wildlife Trust in the local area.
Applicants should have a qualification in biological/ environmental science or countryside management, a good understanding of wildlife and nature conservation, and practical habitat and species management experience.
Experience of management planning, budgeting and working with community and user groups would be advantageous.
A driving licence and flexibility to work occasional irregular hours is required for all posts. The post is subject to a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.
