Thank you for taking action to protect our seas. Sir David Attenborough's latest natural history film, Ocean, has shone a light on the horrendous impact bottom trawling has in the sea, but also the potential for marine life to recover if this is stopped. On Monday 9th June the Government has announced that they are launching a consultation to ban bottom trawling in 41 of offshore Marine Protected Areas. Areas which have been designated to protect the seabed. Banning this destructive activity is a great step forward BUT we must make sure the measures are implemented as soon as possible and across the whole site. Thank you for showing support for this consultation.
