Power to head finance at The Wildlife Trusts

New Honorary Treasurer for conservation organisation

Michael Power - the former Finance Director of JPMorgan Cazenove – will today be appointed as Honorary Treasurer for The Wildlife Trusts.

Michael Allen, The Wildlife Trusts’ Chairman, said: "Michael will bring a wealth of experience and expertise and we are delighted by his appointment.”

Michael Power was finance partner of Cazenove & Co from 1990 until incorporation in 2001, and subsequently became finance director of Cazenove Group plc. From 2005 he was finance director of JPMorgan Cazenove, the joint venture with JPMorgan, acquired in full by JPMorgan in January 2010.

Michael is a non executive director of the independent fund management group, Cazenove Capital Holdings Limited. He is a Trustee for the Cazenove Charitable Trust and of the Chichester Cathedral Millennium Endowment Trust.

Michael lives on a farm in Sussex and is a keen supporter and member of Sussex Wildlife Trust. Commenting on his appointment, Michael said:

“I am delighted to be joining The Wildlife Trusts and look forward to helping them protect and restore the natural environment, a cause in which I strongly believe.”
