Dunsmore Living Landscape is a precious slice of countryside from the outskirts of Coventry and Leamington to the ancient Fosse Way.

The Landscape Recovery scheme is one of the Government’s Environmental Land Management schemes (ELMS). It funds the development of landscape scale projects in England, to produce beneficial environmental and climate outcomes through habitat and ecosystem restoration.

The Alun and Chwiler Living Landscape has been operating since 2012 and seeks to better connect wildlife habitats and engage with local communities.

Charnwood Forest Living Landscape, situated to the south of Loughborough, covers 16,000 hectares. Strikingly different to anywhere else in the East Midlands, the Charnwood Forest is defined by craggy hilltops, dry stone walls, fast flowing streams, ancient woodlands and open views.

An ambitious 50-100 year habitat restoration project, with 14 square miles of land restored to wild fen, creating a huge nature recovery network.

Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust new Nature Recovery Network maps our ambition to see 30% of land across these three counties well managed for nature by 2030.

With climate change posing a great threat to our wildlife, The Wildlife Trusts believe that we should move towards sustainable transport solutions, as currently over a quarter of UK greenhouse gas emissions come from this sector.

The Carbon Landscape encompasses the wetlands of Wigan, the mosslands in Salford and Warrington and the Mersey Wetlands corridor stretching from Rixton to the Manchester Ship Canal, including the Woolston Eyes Site of Special Scientific Interest in Warrington.

Wildlife corridors are a key component of wider ecological networks, connecting core wildlife areas and stepping stone habitats. They enable species to move, disperse, migrate and reproduce. Cheshire Wildlife Trust used a simple methodology to map habitat distinctiveness and use this information to map local wildlife corridors.
