Salary: £17,000 p.a. pro rata

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with some experience of leading environmental education activities to a wide age range of children, to work with the Education Officer at our busy education centre. Experience of working with volunteers and involvement in running events would be desirable. This is a full time temporary post and runs from March until the end of July.
HOURS AND DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT:
37.5 hours per week, occasional weekends with time off given in lieu. 4.5 months contract mid March – end of July.
WORK DESCRIPTION:
Specific Duties:
• To help with the development and running of a programme of events at Foxburrow and Rendlesham Forest
• Assist Education Officers to plan and run the programmes for school visits.
• Plan and run children’s holiday activity days.
• Support and supervise volunteers
• Be involved in the administration of school bookings, upkeep of files and managing the financial work associated with this.
• Preparation of teaching materials, e.g. worksheets, posters and props.
• Work as part of the education team within the Trust.
• Keep informed of current trends in environmental education and liaise with education staff at other sites.
• Keep up to date with the National Curriculum.
• D eputise for Foxburrow Farm Education Officers when necessary.
• Maintain and promote the high standards of the centre in all work.
