The Northern Devon Nature Improvement Area (NIA) is an exciting and prestigious project, which aims to create a thriving and flourishing landscape, teeming with wildlife and providing a range of socio-economic benefits to landowners and local people. The project is being delivered by the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Partnership, with Devon Wildlife Trust as the lead partner. It is one of only 12 projects nationally, and was selected by Defra through a highly competitive process.
This new post will be responsible for enhancing the ecological status of identified River Torridge catchments, improving water resource management and water quality for the benefit of biodiversity and the delivery of ecosystem services.
