The Northern Devon Nature Improvement Area (NIA) is an exciting and prestigious project, which aims to create a thriving and flourishing landscape, teeming with wildlife and providing a range of socio-economic benefits to landowners and local people. The project is being delivered by the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Partnership, with Devon Wildlife Trust as the lead partner. It is one of only 12 projects nationally, and was selected by Defra through a highly competitive process.
These new posts will facilitate the re-creation and restoration of wildlife rich and semi-natural habitats through the development of positive and supporting working relationships with farmers/landowners across the River Torridge catchment.
