Nene Valley Campaigns Officer

Salary: £17,000 - £21,000

The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire seeks a highly-motivated individual to support the development of community involvement in wildlife conservation through promotion; incorporating media relations, digital communications, printed literature and events.

The post will support the Education and Community manager and other Trust staff in the delivery of a range of campaigns, events and activities to increase awareness of the Trust in the Nene Valley. This will include managing media coverage and social media in the Nene Valley, developing and producing an e-newsletter, providing regular content for external local publications, creating and developing website content for the Nene Valley areas of the Trust website and supporting the development of Wildlife Trust interpretation ensuring consistent messages across the Nene Valley.

Applicants with an environmental or communications background and an ability to build partnerships and networks are encouraged to apply. A valid driving license, vehicle available for business use and a satisfactory enhanced CRB Disclosure are required.

Location: Lings Environmental Centre, Lings House, Billing Lings, Northampton NN3 8BE.
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week. This is a full-time, fixed-term post until April 2015.
Salary: £17,000 - £21,000 per annum depending on experience (plus contributory pension after six months).
