Northumberland Wildlife Trust is committed to growing its individual membership, to enable it to carry out more conservation work, involve the community and have a stronger voice in the region. The Trust uses the services of a specialist fundraising company, AE Fundraising, to recruit new members on a door-to-door basis.
AE Fundraising has vacancies for a small number of new Membership Recruiters to work on behalf of the Trust in 2011. The work is a combination of ambassador for the Trust and membership salesperson. The work suits those who interact well with people, who are looking for part-time, flexible, paid work and are happy to work on a self-employed basis.
Membership Recruiters approach the public by house-calling. Information is left with those members of the public who express an interest. The approach is a gentle and professional one and is definitely not a ‘hard sell’.
