Membership Promoters - Scottish Wildlife Trust Part-Time Evenings/Weekends
Salary: £ performance based reward. Typically £750 per month OTE for
15 hours work a week.
Since 1997, Scottish Wildlife Trust has been successfully using the services of a specialist fundraising company, FMR Solutions Ltd, to promote membership on a door-to-door basis, using a well established "soft approach" method, which does not require any kind of selling.
This method generates committed ongoing supporters who generally give, without persuasion, significantly more than the minimum membership amount (£2.50 a month)
FMR Solutions Ltd has vacancies for Membership Promoters.
Whatever your work/life experience, you'll need to be a confident communicator, have an interest in wildlife conservation/environmental issues (expert knowledge not needed!) and also be looking for part- time, flexible work - perhaps to support an existing income, and are happy to consider working on a self-employed type basis. Your own transport is definitely an advantage if you live outside the big cities.
You may already have work/voluntary experience in the Conservation Sector, and are looking to get/broaden your experience of public engagement.
Membership Promoters undertake house-calling - primarily on weekday evenings/weekends and then a booklet about the Scottish Wildlife Trust is left with those members of the public who express an interest. The booklet is then collected on another occasion, with the intention of completing a Direct Debit for those who wish to offer their support.
