Living Landscape Officer

Salary: £23,000-£25,000

Are you passionate about creating space for wildlife? Cheshire Wildlife Trust is recruiting a countryside manager with a broad range of skills to deliver landscape scale conservation work across western and central Cheshire.

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our nature reserves for both wildlife and people and be part of a team working with stakeholders and communities to deliver projects in the wider landscape.

The successful candidate will have hands on experience of land management for nature conservation, arboriculture and improving access on sites for visitors as well as project and contract management experience. Personable and approachable, you will be comfortable meeting with local business owners, partner organisations, community groups and volunteers as you engage more people in our work, advocating for the Trust and creating more space for nature.

You will need to be an effective communicator, able to work independently and as part of the team and know when to take initiative. A good understanding of relevant legislation and a creative approach to securing sustainable income to support your work will be required.
