The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust wish to appoint a lead artist to develop an interpretive trail between Winchester city centre and the public area of Winnall Moors Wildlife Reserve. Community arts interpretation is part of a wider restoration project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Aim of the job:
The lead artist will be required to: Oversee the design and development of a water vole themed interpretive trail passing from Abbey Gardens in Winchester City centre, to the National Trust’s City Mill and finishing at Winnall Moors Wildlife Reserve
Where required, select suitable contractors/artists to produce:
- Tactile interpretation at ‘gateway’ locations along the river
- Waymarking - innovative small to medium-sized installations forming a self-guided trail along the trail
- Materials to be sustainably sourced
- Produce an accompanying trail guide
- Develop brief for themed special event associated with the launch of the trail and celebration for the completion of the HLF project at Winnall Moors
