Idle Valley Reserve Officer

Salary: c£21,000 plus pension and other benefits

An enthusiastic and organised Reserve Officer is required to manage and develop the Idle Valley Nature Reserve.

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is a dynamic conservation charity, with nearly 11,000 members, working at local and regional level to secure a better future for wildlife and people. Managing over 70 nature reserves, working with local communities and campaigning for the natural world the Wildlife Trust is the County’s leading wildlife organisation.

An enthusiastic and organised Reserve Officer is required to manage and develop the Idle Valley Nature Reserve. This reserve is extensively grazed by cattle and sheep so knowledge of grazing will be an advantage. Future management plans on this site include the establishment of a significant area of wet grassland and the implementation of water control systems.

With at least two years experience in countryside management and proven leadership experience, you will be a motivated individual with experience of wetland management and contract and project management skills.

Regular weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working will be required. The post involves working directly with children and will be subject to a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure.
