Our client is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing 80 nature reserves, three education centres and a major visitor centre, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife. They employ around 100 staff across the three counties as well as working with over 1200 volunteers.
They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced generalist to act as the lead practitioner within all aspects of Human Resources.
You will provide advice and guidance on all staff and volunteer related HR issues across all levels within the Trust and will be able to demonstrate a high degree of professional integrity and impartiality. You will deliver a high quality human resource service including employee relations, reward, learning and development, people resourcing, polices, procedures and performance management processes. You will work closely with the senior management team to ensure our human resources are supported and developed to reach their full potential.
Ideally, you will be CIPD qualified or working towards it. You will have strong management skills and a sound knowledge of UK employment legislation alongside experience of successfully developing policy and delivering HR initiatives. A working knowledge of payroll and an excellent administrative track record is also required.
On a personal note you will be an approachable individual who is able to apply a substantial degree of personal authority, autonomy and responsibility. Finally you will possess excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills, be a good listener with ability to win the respect and trust of staff and volunteers.
