Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing environmental organisations and seeks to appoint a Heritage Officer to manage the Development Phase of the exciting Heritage Lottery-funded project, Spurn’s Communities Along the Sand.

Based within Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s Central Team, the Heritage Officer will ensure the effective delivery of the nine-month Development Phase by working closely with the reserve management team, potential contractors and senior staff of the Trust. If the second stage bid is successful, there will be an opportunity to extend the contact for a further three years.

The successful candidate will have experience of project management with significant financial responsibility, ideally with HLF projects. In addition they will be highly articulate with a keen eye for detail and good communication skills, ideally with some social media and TV experience. They will be able to work independently as well as part of a team with a professional and results orientated approach.  A full, clean driving licence is required as Spurn is in a remote part of coastal Yorkshire, largely inaccessible by public transport.
