Head of Marketing and Individual Giving

Salary: £40,000

We currently have an exciting new opportunity in our central team for a Head of Marketing and Individual Giving. You will be required to champion The Wildlife Trust’s brand and reputation, lead collective marketing and individual giving fundraising campaigns and ensure highly effective external relationship management.

The Wildlife Trusts have a vision of land and seas rich in wildlife and people close to nature. We believe that nature is valuable in its own right, that everyone should have the chance to experience the joy of wildlife and that we are part of nature, wholly dependent upon it.

This is a time of immense change, when the laws protecting our environment and wildlife are at risk and people are suffering more than ever from lack of access to nature. We are determined to empower our supporters and the next generation to turn this around – to lead nature’s recovery and reconnect us to the natural world.

The Wildlife Trusts is a grassroots movement of 800,000 members, 43,000 volunteers and 2,000 staff across the UK dedicated to this vision and driven by our beliefs. We are looking for a Head of Marketing and Individual Giving with experience in relationship management and fundraising - a determined, enthusiastic, down to earth and friendly colleague to take up a key role within our central charity. You will need to be wholly committed to our aims, experienced in marketing and leading change, with a passion for our cause.

You need to have the inner confidence to drive change and to be selfless in pursuit of the Wildlife Trust movement’s mission. You need to be highly strategic by nature, someone who easily sees the big picture, who can plan ahead and think on your feet.

You will be leading part of a tight and dedicated central team, with a modest budget but an unmatched depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise to draw on across The Wildlife Trust movement. You need to be a manager, delegator and facilitator, as well as a leader – and certainly a communicator.
