Our client is one of the largest of the 47 Wildlife Trusts, which together make up the Trusts’ Partnership. They are supported and governed by their 30,900 members, and have the simple aim of protecting Kent’s wildlife for the future.
On a national level, The Trusts have begun to focus their work on restoration and recreation of wildlife habitats at a landscape-scale. In Kent, they are working with a wide range of partners to refine the model and approach to shape the future of the region.
They currently have an exciting opportunity to join them as Head of Marketing and Fundraising. With a proven track record and the drive to succeed, the preferred candidate will bring creativity and team management experience to the organisation.
As a senior professional leading a key delivery arm of the Trust, you will be responsible for a team of staff across a broad portfolio of activity, including bid writing, membership recruitment and administration, supporter development, press and communications as well as corporate sponsorship and events.
Working with the Head of People Engagement and the Chief Executive you will develop and implement an Income Generation Strategy (IGS), in line with wider Trust strategy. Other principal duties will include budget control, committee reporting, membership relations, fundraising and branding.
The successful candidate will ideally have a formal qualification in a marketing and/or fundraising, you will also require budget and project management experience. You will have the ability to meet challenging targets and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Highly numerate and IT literate, you will have experience of utilising new media technologies and knowledge of fundraising standards.
Due to the nature of the role you should have a full clean UK driving licence.
