Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is the only charity in the two counties dedicated to conserving, protecting and enhancing local wildlife. In this post, you will lead and help to create a step change in how the charity is run through helping to develop its new five year plan, specifically leading on the business and finance functions and working closely with the CEO.
The person we are seeking must have a proven track record of business acumen, with a sound understanding of financial management of a business. He/she must be an influential and effective leader with diverse teams including finance, human resources, information technology, assets and facilities. Just as important is a strong affinity with the Trust’s vision and values in the areas of habitat conservation and the local environment.
As well as a strong educational background, the ideal candidate should have broad business experience, while retaining a hands-on approach in financial matters. An awareness of the particular requirements of charity accounting would be an advantage.
