Cheshire Wildlife Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to deliver a major habitat improvement and monitoring project in our first Living Landscape area. Gowy Connect will deliver the next phase of our long term Wetland Vision within the within the Meres and Mosses natural area called Gowy and Mersey Washlands. The Gowy Connect Project Officer will be responsible for working closely with landowners, carrying out practical habitat improvements on the ground and coordinating the monitoring of habitat and species change in the Living Landscape area.
You will have a track record of project delivery; excellent practical rural skills and event leadership; the tact and ability to engage with a range of stakeholders. You will need relevant qualifications and experience working within the environment sector. You will be required to travel throughout the project area so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is essential. The post will be based at Bickley Hall Farm, Bickley, Cheshire, SY14 8EF or Wigg Island Visitor Centre, Runcorn but some home working can be accommodated. This is a 4 year contract from start date with extension subject to funding
