This is an exciting opportunity to join the Membership & Fundraising team at Gwent Wildlife Trust. The main responsibility of the post holder will be to ensure that GWT increases its core annual income by developing and managing fundraising and marketing. There will be particular emphasis on corporate membership, major donors, legacies and large-scale fundraising. The post holder should have proven experience and a track record in fundraising.
The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for identifying and maintaining an excellent relationship with all our significant donors. You will also be expected to use your expertise in fundraising to help departmental managers identify and develop any opportunities to generate income. You will be expected to devise and implement major gift initiatives and campaigns to secure new resources for GWT. You will need to be an excellent communicator with a bright, determined, and enthusiastic personality with proven negotiating skills.
A full driving licence is essential. The post will be based at Gwent Wildlife Trust offices near Monmouth (South Wales) but the post holder will be expected to travel throughout Gwent and undertake occasional travel elsewhere in the UK.
