Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK's fastest growing environmental organisations and seeks to appoint a part-time Education Officer at Stirley Community Farm.
This post is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and Local Food and is designed to develop an education and community engagement programme around growing and production of local food. The Education Officer will work alongside the Training Officer and Farm Enterprise Manager to create a successful social enterprise based around food growing and production (principally organic beef) that also engages the local community, and in particular schools and school children.
The successful applicant will have environmental education experience as well as experience of working with communities. They will be highly IT literate with excellent communication and presentation skills. They will be used to working independently but also as part of a team and have a dynamic and creative approach to the project.
The post is subject to a CRB check at enhanced level.
