Ecologist (Data Analysis)

Salary: Salary £23,426pa (salary award pending in April); permanent position; full-time 35 hours per week

Location: Based at Curdridge, near Botley, Hampshire

We are looking for an Ecologist whose role is to ensure the Trust makes informed decisions by expertly researching, analysing and presenting data and information.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is the leading local nature conservation charity. We seek to increase people’s involvement in their local environment and in turn create better conditions for wildlife on land and in the sea.

We are looking for an Ecologist whose role is to ensure the Trust makes informed decisions by expertly researching, analysing and presenting data and information. This role will be crucial in developing the Trust’s evidence base for decision-making and will be essential in the delivery of the Trust’s Living Landscapes vision.

You must have excellent research and data analysis skills. You must be highly proficient in GIS and data management, and working with large and complex datasets. Experience of project management and report writing is essential. You will also need to be a self starter with good organisational and administrative skills.
