We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead, develop and co-ordinate Cumbernauld’s Living Landscape Project. The project is a pioneering initiative which will build on existing efforts to transform the health and vitality of the local environment for the benefit of both people and nature.
As Development Manager you will work closely with a number of organisations and individuals to deliver sustainable urban and rural land management through projects within an area of 5,900 hectares in and around Cumbernauld.
You will be a first class ambassador and champion for the environment and sustainable development, possessing the ability to strengthen partnership working between all the project partners, the local community, Government agencies and other stakeholders.
You will also have excellent all round communication and organisational skills, strong nature conservation knowledge and an understanding of urban planning and community issues in Scotland. Importantly, you will have the enthusiasm and initiative to take ideas from theory to reality.
Applicants should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, self-motivated and able to demonstrate achievements in partnership working and environmental and / or community projects.
