Based at Chafford Gorges the Warden will be responsible for organising the day to day management of the Nature Park.
Chafford Gorges Nature Park, in South Essex is owned and managed by Chafford Gorges Ltd a subsidiary of Essex Wildlife Trust. The Nature Park covers 200 acres with a diverse mix of chalk grassland, secondary woodland and wetland.
Based at our visitor centre the Warden will be responsible for organising the day to day management of the Nature Park, ensuring scheduled habitat works are completed, health and safety checks carried out and maintaining visitor access.
The reserve is situated in a large conurbation and provides an excellent opportunity to introduce countryside and wildlife issues to a large audience.
The successful applicant will have experience of site management, working with volunteers, have good working knowledge of health and safety procedures. You will need to be well organised, work to deadlines and be a skilled communicator.
