Salary: FTE £19,344 pa; part-time 17.5 hours per week on Wednesdays to Fridays; one year contract from September 2012

We are looking for an Assistant Education Officer to cover for temporary staff absence. The job will involve helping with teaching, leading groups in environmental activities, and working with local schools at their sites.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is the leading nature conservation charity which seeks to increase people’s involvement in their local environment and in turn create better conditions for wildlife on land and in the sea.
We are looking for an Assistant Education Officer to cover for temporary staff absence. The job will involve helping with teaching, leading groups in environmental activities, and working with local schools at their sites. These groups range from pre-school to adult, from school groups to the general public. The post will also include some reserve management and warden duties. It is a great opportunity to gain more experience in the outdoor education field.
You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent. Experience of working with children or young people in an education or youth setting is essential. You will need excellent communication skills, and organisational and administrative skills. An enhanced CRB check is required for this post.
