Main Objectives
To support the Communications Manager and other staff in the creation of high quality external and internal communications encompassing media relations, digital communications, internal communications, printed literature, branding and corporate identity.
Key Responsibilities
•To support the Communications Manager and officers in the running of a busy press office by preparing and distributing press releases and monitoring media coverage and social media mentions.
•To create website content and ensure that the website remains up-to-date and relevant and ensure social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter are regularly updated.
• To support the communications team in collating and preparing content for key Trust publications.
•To undertake picture research and find suitable images for the website, magazine and other publications.
•To support the communications team and other Trust staff in the delivery of a range of campaigns to increase awareness of the Trust in the movement's Centenary year in 2012.
• To maintain, update and develop the media contacts database.
•To assist with the smooth-running of events and visits such as media photocalls and to take digital pictures and/or video or audio content as required
•To provide administrative support for the Communications team as required, for example arranging and taking notes in meetings or collating information for reports.
