Day course designed for new-comers to the world of Fungi.
This day course is designed for new-comers to the world of Fungi, we will start in the centre with a short introductory illustrated talk on the structure of mushrooms, the information we need to gather about their habitats, spores etc to enable us to identify the specimens gathered up to family level. We will then spend the rest of the morning foraying and collecting specimens around the centre, covering as many different habitats as time allows. After lunch we will take spore prints of some of the mushrooms to help with identification.
