Matt Thomas, a popular Wirral Ranger, will lead a one hour discovery of the islands off West Kirby, accessible only at high tide.

The Hilbre Group is set to become one of the first Marine Conservation Zones (MCZs) in the UK and has a rich array of birds, marine life and fascinating rock pools.

There are no shops or fresh water on the island. Toilets are available at Dee Lane Slipway and on the island if needed. Suitable footwear recommended as rocks and barnacles may be rough underfoot.

Bring binoculars/optical equipment if you have them.

Venue: Meet at Dee Lane Slipway, West Kirby, next to Marine Lake at 1.15pm, or if you prefer, Nantwich Lake at 11.30am to share lifts.
