If you would like to learn more amazing stuff about nature; enjoy getting muddy; would like to get closer to newts, spiders and birds - then come and be a Junior Wildlife Ranger this summer at Chigwell Meadows and the Roding Valley Meadows Nature Reserve. Suitable for children aged 8 – 14 years old; suggested donation of £3.00 per child per session. All enquiries please to Claire Rogers at clairer@essexwt.org.uk or call 02085003094. Did you know that:
1) A dragonfly spends most of its life in water?
2) Ladybirds release a foul smelling liquid from their knees to help stop them from being eaten?
3) A baby Blue Tit in a nest needs up to 100 insects per day to survive? If there are 10 chicks in the nest = 1000 insects per day for mum and dad to collect!
