North Local Group Walk

This rare heathland habitat, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) was the location for the discovery of the 2000 year-old, astonishingly preserved ‘Lindow Man’ in 1984. Saltersley Moss, an adjacent Trust reserve is also home to butterflies like the green hairstreak and water voles are still seen occasionally in the bog’s ditches.

Children to be accompanied by an adult please.

Bring stout footwear and water proof clothing.
