Event details

21 July 2013 - 10:30am - 3:30pm

Join the first meeting of Poors Wood Volunteers for some practical conservation.

This is the first meeting of what we hope will be a regular volunteering team who will be joining forces on the third Sunday of every month at Poors Wood, near Northwich.

If you would like to join the group then come along and help. The aim will be to make improvements to a nature reserve by making paths, planting wild flowers and many other practical conservation tasks.

This first session will allow you to try your hand at scything and traditional hay meadow management.

Suitable outdoor footwear and weather-proof
clothing is recommended even if the day starts off dry. All tools will be provided plus full training in how to use them safely. You will also need a packed lunch and plenty of drinks.

We will be meeting at Fishermans car park.
