How do we know where our migrant birds go in winter?

This early start is well worth the effort to join Professor David Norman and the Merseyside Ringing Group to learn more about the birds visiting Norton Priory in the summer. Watch the established process of applying leg rings to birds to monitor where they travel – across the world. This is a fantastic opportunity to see in close-up this highly-trained research technique and some of our tiniest birds being delicately handled, telling us more about their lifestyles than we can possibly imagine.

Families are most welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult please.

Stout footwear and waterproof clothing advised. Bring binoculars/optical equipment if you have them.
