A three week evening jewellery course 2nd, 9th & 16th July.
Take inspiration from your surroundings and learn how to paint vivid landscapes using the medium of Encaustic Art - painting with molten wax using specially designed equipment. This is a great art form for those who consider themselves to not be artistic, as the images are vivid and instant! Your tutor Toni Peers, is part of the Encaustic Art Teaching Network and has also been accepted into the Guild of Essex Craftsmen for this skill. During this 3 week evening course you will be introduced to various techniques which can be applied to painting abstracts, landscapes and fantasy work. By the end of this 3 week course, you will have had the time to develop your encaustic skills and to have created a number of Encaustic art pictures to take home. If you become addicted, don’t worry, Toni will have some equipment available to purchase on the day.
Week 1, 2nd July: Intro to Encaustic Art, abstract work and rubber stamps
Week 2, 9th July: Landscapes and Fantasy work
Week 3, 16th: The bigger picture, hot air and other ideas
