A walk of approximately 1.5 miles around Hothfield Heathlands, which include some of Kent's remaining bogs and open heath led by Ian Rickards, Ashford Area Warden for Kent Wildlife Trust.
Bog plants such as sundew, bog asphodel and heath spotted orchid will be in flower, and we should see some of Hothfield's spectacular dragonflies. The ground will be uneven, and possibly wet in places, with some steep slopes.
Meet at the reserve car park. From Ashford, follow the A20 north for 4.8km (3miles). Turn left towards Hothfield village, take first right and the reserve is on the left.
Donations to Kent Wildlife Trust welcome.
